For those not in class on Friday 11/15 - watch the video in the link to the right ("Zinn on Imperialism") and answer these questions and turn them in by Tuesday 11/19:
1. What made Howard Zinn change his views on American empire? 2. What was the title of Zinn's book on Vietnam? 3. Who first described World War II as an imperialist war to Zinn? 4. How is George W. Bush depicted in the illustrations in the video? 5. Does Zinn place the blame for modern imperialism on either party? 6. What examples of imperialism does Zinn give in the modern world? |

If you missed the last few days before break, here is what you need to know:
-Read American Pageant Chapter 29 by Monday (you should have already read up through Chapter 28)
-Review Notes on Progressivism and "Election of 1912"
-You will also need to read Chapter 30 and watch the World War I videos below by Wednesday
-IF you choose to do an extra credit assignment (will be a major grade), look over "The Jungle" assignment posted on the "APUSH Review and Supplemental Resources" page (due December 21st)
-Also I would recommend watching the Ken Burns series "The Roosevelts" over the the next two weeks if you have access to it. It can be found on Netflix and does a good job of explaining much of American history from the late 1870s through World War II
